Special Inspections and Design is a leading provider of specialized engineering services in the structural, civil, industrial, and welding fields in Missouri, Illinois, and California. Our professionals are technical experts in structural engineering design, special inspections, and nondestructive testing.
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (5 years minimum) for an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects. The position will be based out of our Collinsville, IL office. You will be responsible for analysis and design of structural systems and components using structural steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and light gage steel. Your duties will include preparation of construction drawings and specifications, visual structural inspections, report preparation, and construction review.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must have:
BS in Civil Engineering (MS is a plus).
PE license (SE is a plus).
Minimum 5 years experience.
Working knowledge of structural engineering software (RISA is ideal).
Working knowledge of IBC and other national standard codes.
